Dr. Viviana Unda Joins HLRC as Associate Editor
The HLRC editorial team would like to inform our community of readers, authors, and peer reviewers that Dr. Viviana Unda has joined the editorial team as associate editor. Dr. Unda currently serves as executive director for research network collaboration within Laureate Education, Inc.’s Academic Quality and Continuous Improvement team, where her role centers on supporting research collaboration among Laureate network institutions. Dr. Unda previously held various positions at Universidad de Las Américas (UDLA) Chile, including academic director of the Spanish teaching program, academic director of pedagogy within the Faculty of Education, and as the university’s research director. She has worked in Chilean public and private K-12 and higher education institutions as a teacher and research consultant in the fields of applied linguistics, curriculum, and assessment. She has also worked in the Los Angeles Unified School District, as well as in different University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) schools. Dr. Unda holds a PhD in applied linguistics from UCLA, an MA in linguistics, a Spanish teaching credential, and an undergraduate degree in Spanish linguistics and literature from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
